Alexander Riera holds vast experience in Marketing and Advertising with a specialty in luxury development. Most recently as a Senior Marketing Director Mr. Riera oversaw all marketing and communications communication initiatives for various projects in South Florida with sellouts of over $300 Million. In this role he worked directly with major developers including HFZ Capital, JDS Development, KAR Properties, Terra Group and The Peebles Corporation. A Miami native, he started his career in the fast paced environment of advertising agencies specialized in Real Estate Marketing such as Bridger Conway and Matrix 2. At these agencies, Mr. Riera held both account management and media roles working with major South Florida developers including: Related Group, BAP, Stock Development and others.
From the agency world, he continued his career joining American Airlines in the Media Solutions department overseeing the Latin American market. He was responsible for managing partnerships with major multinational clients including: Cartier, Citibank, L’Oreal, Starwood Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels, Sony and others. He also worked very closely with Latin American tourism boards on numerous initiatives to promote interest in their destinations. In this role, Alex created integrated campaigns that engaged American Airlines passengers and raised brand awareness for partner brands.
Alex has strong international experience including as Advertising Director for HCP Aboard Publishing overseeing the publications and digital advertising for: American Eagle, Volaris -Mexico’s #2 airline, Cayman Airways, Marriott Hotels Latin America and Hyatt Hotels U.S & Caribbean. Mr. Riera also served as Regional Director, overseeing Florida, the Caribbean & Latin America, for Spafax the in-flight division of major advertising conglomerate WPP. In this role he again oversaw partnerships between major brands and airlines that included: Omega, Gucci, Chopard, Longines,Tag Heuer, Montblanc and others.
Mr. Riera holds both a Bachelors and MBA degree with concentrations in International Business and Marketing from Florida International University. He is fluent in Spanish, and has working proficiency in Portuguese and in basic French. He has vast experience working in multicultural environments, specifically with Latin America and the Caribbean. Alex is a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate.
